Akshay Kumar-Imran Khan together in film

When it was announced that Akshay Kumar had been signed up for the sequel of Balaji's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, there was major excitement and curiosity about the unexpected choice of actor. The announcement was followed by months of speculation around who was going to play the parallel lead. 

The industry's most widely speculated casting has been revealed.

The makers have confirmed Imran Khan, who, with this one, bags a heavy-duty addition to his kitty of films. 

Riding high after a string of consecutive hits like Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Imran will make his first foray into a franchise product with the mammoth sequel.

According to trade sources, the film's formidable and unconventional casting has made it among the biggest and most keenly anticipated industry features.

Says director Milan Luthria, "The uniqueness of pairing Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi in the original made people sit up and applaud. By casting Akshay and Imran together for the first time, we've pulled off the casting coup of the year. Both the stars are diverse in their appeal, style and presence. Just like Akshay, Imran was electrified by the script that Rajat (Aroraa) and I have worked on!"   

According to producer Ekta Kapoor, "We couldn't have asked for a better actor than Imran to play Aslam. Not only does he fit the role to the tee but also enjoys an unprecedented fan following as a star. We welcome him to Balaji and look forward to working with him on the second edition of our franchise." 

The high-romance action-drama goes into production in July and releases early next year.

John hurts nose

John Abraham hurt his nose on the sets of Sanjay Gupta's under-production 'Shootout At Wadala'. 

The incident happened when the unit was shooting in Thane (on the outskirts of Mumbai). 

Apparently, a junior artiste punched John's nose very hard. The actor's nose started bleeding profusely and the shoot was stalled for an hour. 

It is believed that a doctor was summoned to the sets. Later, John had to undergo a few tests to rule out a crack in his nose.

Kahanii Holi Kii on Comedy Circus this weekend

It's that time of the year again when colors of Holi will jazz up the sets of Comedy Circus! The celebration of Holi will be telecast in not just one but dual episodes to add that extra dosage of fun, mirth and giggle to your weekends.  Catch Kapil & Sudesh perform a special act pretending as if they are under the influence of bhang ! Kapil & Sudesh will talk about SONY actors coming to Comedy Circus for the Holi special. Kapil will take a quick dig at judge Archana Puran Singh by requesting Sudesh to keep some bhang for her as well. Siddhartha and Bharti on the other hand will present an funny act by  entering  the stage physically attached and dancing on the song ‘ Hum Dono Hai Alaag Alaag’ . Both will be extremely happy to see Dr. Nidhi on the sets  and will request her to help and detach them.  ‘Monia’ of Dekha Ek Khwaab will too be joining the fun by making a special entry with  Krishna and Sudesh on the song “Holi K Din Dil Khil Jaate Hai’ . Priyal will be then asked to leave immediately as both  Krishna & Sudesh would not want to mingle with a gal who comes from  a ’Chawl’. Everyone’s favorite inspector ‘Daya’ from CID will not be left behind! Daya will put up an outstanding dance performance along with Bharti, Suhashi & Krishna.  Aishwariya on the other will play the an old mommy to Kapil & Sumona in a standup comedy act.

It will be Dry Holi because of scarcity of water in some parts of our country. My most memorable Holi was in 2011, it was my first holi after marriage. It was too beautiful.

First look of Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif's new film

Yash Chopra’s next directorial venture starring the king of romance, Shahrukh Khan, along withKatrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, started shooting in London on the 22^nd of Feb 2012.

Attached is the first look of Shahrukh & Katrina on location.

This untitled movie will mark the coming together yet again of the award winning duo of the music maestro A. R. Rahman and the poet & lyricist, Gulzar.

The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2012 release, the festive time when Yash Chopra movies over the years have lit up homes worldwide.
